16-year old Alexandra Lynch began singing when she was six years old when she made it to the finals of her school’s talent show with her performance of Schubert’s “Ave Maria”. Alexandra has taken private solo weekly vocal and music theory lessons ever since and for the last nine years has worked with her very accomplished current instructor, Claire Stadtmueller. Alexandra has focused on opera, classical and music theater compositions. She has a particular passion for opera and hopes to perform professionally in the future. Alexandra also enjoys acting and theatrical performances.
Alexandra loves to perform and does so frequently. She has been performing with the Concert and Honors Choirs of Rye Country Day School with numerous solo performances as a part of the productions. She also uses her vocal talent to give back to the community through hour long recitals at assisted living facilities.
In her most recent national competition, Alexandra was awarded Third place in the Vocal Artist Management Services Young Vocalist Competition after having received Honorable Mention in the prior two years. In both instances, she was the youngest award winner in the under eighteen category. Also, Sound Espressivo selected Alexandra to perform at the 2024 Carnegie Hall Gala. Previously, Alexandra received the Gold Cup Award in The Schubert Club of Fairfield County Young Musicians Festival Competition for three years running of perfect scores in the Art Song and Music Theater Categories. Most recently in January 2026, she was elected as a winner of the Hamden, CT Symphony Orchestra Young Musicians Concerto Competition and the first vocalist to have been selected in many years.
Away from music related undertakings, Alexandra is an accomplished individual in sports, the conditioning of which helps with her vocal ranges. Alexandra is a three-sport varsity athlete and captain of all three teams. This speaks to athletic abilities, interpersonal skills and leadership qualities. In addition to serving the elderly, she is also a strong mentor though young underprivileged children as a mentor in English and Math on Saturday mornings. She is also a straight-A student with a senior year focus on the psychological impact of music having already earned college credit on the topic through a summer long research project in 2025 on the Lumiere platform.
