Jelena is a Croatian soprano acclaimed for her versatility and dramatic depth, performing a wide range of roles from Baroque heroines to the great soprano repertoire of Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, and operetta. She made her operatic debut at just sixteen in Varaždin as Hyale in Actéon under the baton of Laurence Cummings, marking the beginning of an international career.
Jelena has since appeared on major stages worldwide, including the Vienna Musikverein, Schlosstheater Schönbrunn, Vienna Volksoper, Croatian National Theatres (Varaždin, Osijek, Pula), State Opera Ruse (Bulgaria), State Opera Maldybayev, NCPA Beijing, Carnegie Hall, Bunka Kaikan Tokyo, Mythos Opera Festival (Teatro Greco di Taormina and Catania), Teatro de la Ciudad Mexico, Grand Theatre Suzhou, and theatres in London and beyond.
Her extensive repertoire includes La Traviata, Leonora (Il Trovatore), Elettra (Idomeneo), Vitellia (La Clemenza di Tito), Konstanze, Rosalinde (Die Fledermaus), Countess Mariza, First Lady (The Magic Flute), Angelica (Orlando), Verdi Requiem, Lady Macbeth, Thaïs, Donna Anna, Desdemona, Medea, Tosca, Tatyana (Eugene Onegin), and many others.
Jelena is an alumna of the prestigious iSING! International Young Artists Festival in China, where she worked under the mentorship of Hao Jiang Tian with honorary chair Plácido Domingo. In 2012, she became the first Croatian female singer invited to participate in Domingo’s world-renowned competition Operalia.

Since 2021, she has served as Casting Director of the classical music festival Noctes Aquae Iasae in Croatia, contributing to the cultivation of emerging artistry and cultural heritage in her home region.
