Palestinian violist Katia Abdel Kader, based in Berlin, has established herself as a dynamic and versatile performer on the international stage. She has appeared at renowned venues and festivals including the Pierre Boulez Saal, Philharmonie Berlin, Musikverein, Salzburg Festival, Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, Lucerne Festival, and Mendelssohn Haus Leipzig, among many others.
As a member of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, Katia embraces dialogue as a cornerstone of her artistry — an ethos she also brings to chamber music, which she considers the most profound form of musical conversation.
Her chamber music collaborations have included distinguished artists such as Emmanuel Pahud, the Kronos Quartet, Michael Barenboim, and Elena Bashkirova, as well as projects and international performances with the Nasmé Ensemble.
