Roxana Prast is a dance teacher and castanets soloist. After the traditional path of studying castanets for dance—including Sevillanas, Flamenco, and Bolera School (the latter completed in the Escuela de Flamenco de Andalucía Course in Lisbon)—she chose to pursue the instrument in greater depth with the castanets soloist Teresa Laiz, earning an Advanced Castanets Diploma recognized by CID-UNESCO.
Alongside her instrumental practice, she studies musical notation and has composed approximately sixty scores that form part of her teaching methodology. After introducing concert castanets classes in Portugal, she founded the EFO Castanets Choir (Escola Flamenca de Oeiras), training her most advanced students and presenting them in numerous performances.
Roxana is also a member of the Madrid Castanet Choir, directed by Teresa Laiz, where she participates as a soloist.
