Born in Madrid in 1997, Rubén Ángel Russo Gutiérrez is a Spanish pianist currently pursuing his Master’s studies at the Internationale Musikakademie Anton Rubinstein in Düsseldorf under the mentorship of Professor Gabriele Leporati (Italy).
Rubén has received numerous international awards, including First Prize at the “47 Young Pianists of Catalonia Contest” (Barcelona, 2017); Second Prize and Silver Medal at the International Music Competition (Moscow, 2021); First Prize and Gold Medal at the Premier Music International Competition (Budapest, 2021); First Prize and Special Artist Gold Medal at the Golden Arts Contest (Valencia, 2021); Fourth Prize at the London Classical Music Competition as the only Spanish pianist awarded in all categories (2022); Second Prize at Nouvelles Étoiles (Paris, 2022); Third Prize at the International Music Competition “Medici” (2022); and First Prize at the Second Four Notes International Piano Competition (Abu Dhabi, 2022).
He has performed at venues and festivals including Palais Wittgenstein (Düsseldorf), Espacio Ronda Auditorium (Madrid), the Royal Economic Society Auditorium (Jaén), Maxhaus Antoniussaal (Düsseldorf), the Beethoven Conservatorium Opening Concert (Tegelen, Netherlands), Cagnes-sur-Mer (France), Talent Summer Courses & Opera Festival (Brescia, Italy), and Viva Classic Live Festival (Venlo, Netherlands).
